Laura & Charlie Engaged {Holly, MI}
As I get older, I realize how true it is about things coming around full-circle. People move in and out of your life, but even in the brief encounters become somehow part of your life. That is how it is with Laura and Charlie. I had known Laura from working together in Frankenmuth for a few years. I never dreamed that the day that I quit working with Laura that years later I would be taking her wedding photos. Seriously, how fun is that?! Laura and Charlie are just one of those couples that you're immediately comfortable with. Charlie is cracking the one-liners and Laura is making sure he has a filter :) We had such a great afternoon together climbing through possible poison ivy, wadding through water and finding a creepy little farm to capture some great photos. You two seriously are the reason that I love my job so much!

Anna & Tim Engaged {Traverse City, MI}
I love my job. No, seriously. I. Love. My. Job. If there were mountaintops in Michigan, I would totally shout it from one. Anna and Tim are one of the prime examples of why I love it so much. I hit the road Saturday morning with little expectation for good weather, but high expectations for great pictures. I went to high school with Anna and so I was familiar with her natural gorgeousness and although Tim said that she tends to tense-up in front of the camera and get the cheese-grin going, I figured I could coax some natural smiles out of her. No coaxing necessary out of either of them. It was a dream! Amazing weather, amazing couple, amazing pictures! Tim, no offense, but you don't know what you're talking about. Not only did we have a blast driving and walking all over the beautiful city of Traverse City, but then we went back to the house and played games until it was well past this mama's bedtime. Tim, Anna... You are one of the most warm, inviting, fun and up-for-anything couples I have ever had the privilege to work with. If the engagement pictures are this good, I can only imagine what the wedding pictures will look like!

Kasey + Jon = Adorable :)

I have this, what some might consider to be annoying, habit of cheering for myself when I know I'm getting amazing photos. This really has nothing to do with me celebrating my mad camera skillz, but more to do with my truly amazing couples. Oh, and I use the term amazing so much that I have pretty much beat it to death. Another annoying habit to many, I'm sure. But back to my electrifying (yes, I totally Googled thesaurus for amazing...) couples. They completely rock my world with how they just let loose in front of my camera and then make me look like some rockin' photographer. YOU GUYS MAKE ME LOOK AWESOME!!!! And that brings me to my latest session with Kasey and Jon. They claim that they never take pictures together which completely baffles me. Seriously, this session was effortless for me. All I did was tell them to move around a little bit and what do I get? Some of the best engagement pictures to date. I cannot wait until I get them in front of my lens come wedding day! Thank you Kasey and Jon!

Lara & Alex
It is no secret that I love people. I do. Really. People are fantastic! And when fantastic people are part of your family, well, then you're really blessed. Lara and Alex are just those people. And for a photographer, they're a dream. I didn't pose them really at all and they just rocked this session like nobodys business. Love you both! xoxoxoxo

Alli and Scott With Lots of Supermodel Wind

I have just learned to go with it. What do I mean with it? Just all of it. Life it. Weather it. Whatever it. So tonight was a weather "it" with lots of wind and good chance of rain. I had a cute umbrella just in case, but I didn't want to have to use it. I didn't have to thankfully, but there was the wind. What do you do with wind? Call it supermodel wind and go with it. Also, I had amazing models/people who don't mind sitting in wind. It was a great session with great people. My eyes are burning from fatigue, so we're just going to end "it". Enjoy this fantastic couple (as much as I do)! And also, a special thanks to Dorothy Buchinger for the usage of the tandem bike, my mom for the usage of her antique blanket that looked stunning and the neighbors to my mom and dad for their tire swing that they have no idea we used :) This isn't nearly all the pictures, but I can no longer function properly today. Bed please! More to follow!
